Operated as Malaysian Students Center in Jordan on 1 March,1996. Headed by Education Attache and one Local Recruited Staff (LRS) in the early days. Office of Malaysian Students Center is located at Ground Floor of Embassy of Malaysia in 1996. The center was upgraded into department on 2005MSD Objectives
MSD Jordan was established to achieve and provides a high quality of services and guidance for Malaysian students who are studying in Jordan as well as local students who are interested to study in Malaysia. Therefore; MSD Jordan has the following objectives to be accomplished:


1- Ensuring human capital development programs being done to create competitive and holistic Overseas Malaysian graduates according to nation’s aspiration. 
2- Ensuring Malaysian student’s welfare is taken care of throughout facilities and services provided by Malaysian Student Department. 
3- Ensuring data management and information on Malaysian students are accurate to cater nation’s human capital planning. 
4- Developing MSD as a one stop center for student’s welfare, security, education and career. 
5- Initiating internationalization programs to promote Malaysia as center of higher education excellence. 
6- Ensuring MSD management of administrative and financial operations are well managed to meet the department’s objectives and goals. 
7- Functions

The MSD Jordan is committed to:

1. Focus on student’s welfare beyond other matters, so the students can excel in their studies. 
2. Encourage and guide the students on the right track, in line with nation’s aspirations. 
3. Plan and execute programs, which help students in enhancing their personal excellence in education and personalities. 
4. Enhance MSD Jordan management system from time to time, to ensure fast services and compatible with current situation. 
5. Promote Malaysian Higher Education system and facilitate interested foreigners who wish to study in Malaysia. 
6. Build good relations with students, universities, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Higher Education & Research in Jordan as well as sponsors.
